Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary

Andre and I just got back from a great dinner at Koi in Seal Beach to celebrate our anniversary. Isaac went to go play with his friend Noah so that we could have a little time to ourselves. (Thansk Andrea, Reid and Grandma Sharon!) Don't get me wrong, we LOVE being parents, but one of the things we really miss is being able to linger when we eat and really savor our food. Isaac lasts about 10 minutes in the high chair so if we all eat together, Andre and I are shoving food in our mouths as we run back and forth to the kitchen to get stuff we forgot or are busy keeping Isaac's tray full of food he likes. Every once in a while we plan ahead well and our meals are somewhat relaxing and normal, but still nothing as wonderful as tonight. We had delicious sushi, eating very slowly and savoring each bite. We started with stuffed shitaake mushrooms (stuffed with crab and tempura fried). YUM!!! We then had lots of different sushis and a Seal Beach Roll which had cucumber around the outside, instead of seaweed. Everything was great. If you are looking for good sushi in the Long Beach area-we highly recommend it. (Thanks Larry!!) Here are a few pictures in front of the Proctor's home.

Our Co-ed Sleepover

Andrea, Rebecca, Isaac, Noah and I had a great little vacation to my parents' home in Orange. They are off relaxing with friends in Hawaii to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary (side note: my mom shot a hole in one while golfing on the big island-way to go!!!!).

We had fun playing in the back yard, watching cable tv, practicing the piano, and just hanging out. Yeah for good friends you can just do nothing with for two days!!!

Big Shoes to Fill

Isaac loves to imitate us. His current favorite past times are using the keys to "unlock" the front door, put on Daddy's shoes, eat with a fork, and sweep the kitchen floor.

Ocean Creature Highlights

One of the highlights for me of our time in Honduras was the affectionate moment I shared with this adorable dolphin. (A live encounter)

One of Andre's highlights was reeling in these fish, particularly the Wahoo that was half eaten by a Barracuda on it's way in to the boat!! (A dying encounter)

Central America

Here are just a few pictures from our vacation!!

Here is Andre in the water with Isaac, right in front of our house.

We did lots of amazing snorkling. There is a beautiful reef right along the shore. We saw tons of fish, coral, sting rays, and a few people even saw turtles. The coolest fish Andre and I saw was an eagle ray.

Annika and I had a great time getting to know this dolphin. She even gave us kisses. Then we got to swim around with her and her friends and play with them. AMAZING!!! Something I've always wanted to do!

After the family vacation part was over in Honduras, Andre, Isaac, and I headed down to Nicaragua to visit some of Andre's friends from when he lived down there. Here is a picture with Pedro and his family in front of his house.
